Sai Sai has completed the two weeks’ K2 transition today (1 hour less).
From next weeks onwards, he needs to attend full half-day school.
That means JosB could sleep more in the afternoon, and Ruby JeJe could enjoy a bit longer less busy time :P
Sai Sai was in Orange team in K1, and now he’s in Blue team – his favorite color !
Apart from the group change, he meets a lot of new friends – but he could only name a few … or, maybe he doesn’t want to disclose to us yet …
So far, Baba Mama only know that three of his K1 classmates are in the same K2 class with him. And only one of them is in the Blue team with Sai Sai.
There’re a lot of changes and challenges in K2 – both to Sai Sai and Baba Mama.
1. Use bottle instead of cup for snack time (Sai Sai is looking for this for a long time already, and he is so happy with his Cars bottle – thank you Baba to order it from Japan !)
2. Need to bring pencils and rubber to school (more writing and exercises at school, hope that Sai Sai won’t be scare off …)
3. From group settings to individual (that’s what Baba Mama guess, from how Sai Sai described the seating plan.)
4. More homework (from one at K1 to 3 at K2, but this change is not yet started, see how Sai Sai will react :)
5. Dictation for both Chinese and English (really something new to him, though this is also not yet started, Mama could feel the work load already … hope that he can handle by himself without Mama’s worry :)
Sai Sai himself also changes a lot after 4 years old.
He becomes more mature and independent.
He can sit properly and very concentrated to play piano for half an hour.
And he is more willing to share his life and thinking with Baba Mama than before.
He’s a bit more polite (or brave) – higher chance to say hello to others or even someone new to him, continuous improvement is still required though …
He even gets 4 pounds increase and 4 cm taller after summer vacation !
Well done, MudMa :)
